Pot Hunting Tip

This is a re-post for the benefit of the newer folks looking for pots: Wear-Ever made the pots for Chambers at one point, and even made single and double pots under only their logo before that. You can periodically find pots on e-Bay this way for very reasonable if you have the patience to look thru the many Wear-Ever listings. The seller doesn't know what they have so list it by describing it, rather than as a Thermowell pot. For example, a single pot sold either yesterday or Tuesday for around $23 or so (congratulations, Chipper), with an opening bid of $3.25 (sorry Gyrinophillus.) It was listed as a "Camping or Crab pot". So look at the pictures, not just the title, and always compare the dimensions listed with your T-Well. And be patient because those listings don't come up that often.

Thanks, and sorry Gyr. $26.99 for a single kettle and a pot handle, too!! The current handles on ebay are over $31, which is too rich for little 'ol me.

Glad you won it Jenn!

I successfully signed in on eBay about 15 minutes before the auction ended to get in on the final bidding melee and suddenly the system wouldn't let me bid, but since I didn't really need either the single or the handle it was only moderately frustrating. If it had been something that was high on my list it would have been excruciating.
